Set Your Intentions
I created The Nurturing Nest to help people come together, nurture their well-being and flourish in a supportive community.
This newsletter aims to inspire and support you by offering positive news and nurturing tips for the week ahead.
Hello, Nesters!
Welcome to a new week! A fresh start, a clean slate and a chance to set new intentions.
Setting Positive Intentions for a Nurturing Week
Mondays can be challenging, but setting positive intentions can transform your week. Intentions are powerful statements that focus your energy and attention on what you want to achieve or cultivate.
With our busy minds and busy lives, setting intentions can be hard. Many of us have limiting beliefs and a fear of failure but with practice we can turn this around.
Examples of Positive Intentions:
"I intend to approach challenges with curiosity and courage this week."
"I intend to prioritize self-care and make time for activities that nourish my mind, body, and spirit."
Helpful Tips:
Keep it simple and specific: Focus on one or two intentions that resonate with you.
Make it positive: Focus on what you want to cultivate, rather than what you want to avoid.
Write it down: Record your intentions and place them somewhere visible.
Share with a friend or accountability partner: Gain support and encouragement. Join our community for help with this.
Benefits of Setting Positive Intentions:
Clarity and focus
Increased motivation and productivity
Improved mindset and resilience
Enhanced self-awareness and self-care
Remember, setting positive intentions is a powerful way to start your week. By focusing on what you want to cultivate, you'll be more likely to achieve your goals and live a nourishing life.
Nest News
These past few weeks have been filled with exciting graduations and celebrations. Two uplifting graduation stories caught my eye this week and are fun because they are on opposite ends of the age spectrum. They are both so inspiring!
105-year-old great-grandmother gets her Stanford degree after 83 years
“My goodness,” Virginia “Ginger” Hislop said. “I’ve waited a long time for this.”
12-year-old graduates from high school, heading to college for double degree
Malverne High School senior Suborno Bari has been described as “a prodigy.
This reminds me of the quote by C.S. Lewis “You are never to old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.”
I would also add…You are never to young to set one either!
Monday Mantra
I embrace this new week with an open heart and mind. I am capable and strong, and I trust myself to make this week amazing.
Wishing you a beautiful and nurturing week ahead!
